- March 4, 2003 - When Wiseway says it will do "anything
it takes" for their customers, they didn't realize one
customer would have such a tall order!
Long time Wiseway customer, Bob Wetmore
of A&W Furniture in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, had a bear
of a problem. He needed to get a 10-foot tall stuffed Grizzly
Bear from North Carolina to his store, where he had just added
a "Northwoods" cabin display. "Handle with
care" was an understatement.
"As a specialized furniture carrier,
we've been getting into accessory pieces more and more,"
notes Marcus Cary, of Wiseway. "Typically this involves
lamps and decorative pieces - you know, things with a little
less hair."
In the spirit of delighting the customer,
veteran Wiseway driver Mike Hartwig was up for the challenge.
The A&W Furniture group was thrilled that their furry
friend made a safe arrival in western Minnesota.
"I thought I might stump Wiseway with
this request - but they truly are a specialist in this furniture
transportation business. They treated Ol' Smokey just as they
treat all our other pieces - as if it were an endangered species!"
