Hudson, WI, July 1, 2003 - Wiseway
Transportation Services announces the official launch of the
company's new web site, www.wiseway.com. The site features
three key freight management services as part of Wiseway's
long-term commitment to e-commerce.
"More and more of our customers are
managing their freight in today's e-commerce environment via
the Internet," notes Marcus Cary, Vice President, Sales
and Marketing. "Access to shipment information before,
during and after the shipment brings additional efficiency
and value to our customers and Wiseway. Our long-term e-commerce
strategy involves continued development of easy-to-use tools
for customers to complete transactions and managing their
business via our web site."
The three new customer features launched July 1, 2003 include:
- An Online Rate Quote System that
can provide customers an accurate Rate Quote for LTL and
Truckload Freight.
- An Internet-Based Booking and Tracking
System that is integrated with Wiseway's Satellite Tracking
System. This program allows customers to know EXACTLY where
their freight is at any time of the day or night, from any
internet-ready computer in the World.
- Instant access to images of the Customer's
Bill of Lading and Proof Of Delivery.
Wiseway will still check the information
that was electronically captured when a shipment is picked
up. According to Cary, checking the captured data will provide
a quality control step to ensure the shipment data record
gets off to an accurate start.

e-commerce capability to our customers is exciting. We're
