Hudson, WI, September 22, 2003 - Wiseway
Transportation Services is pleased to recognize the very significant
milestone reached by one of its truck drivers, Bill Rogers,
of Chetek, Wisconsin. Bill has been with the company since
1988, the year Wiseway was founded, and recently celebrated
15 years of outstanding service.
Bill has driven over 1.6 million miles since
his start date at Wiseway fifteen years ago. That's equivalent
to 65 trips around the Earth! In 1998, Bill became a member
of the exclusive Million Mile Accident Free Club. Bill
has continued to be accident-free throughout his entire tenure
with Wiseway, which is an incredible feat in the transportation
industry.
Bill was named Wiseway Linehaul Driver
of the Year in 1993, an award given to an exceptional
driver based on being free of accidents and moving violations,
professional and customer-driven, helpful in other areas,
etc.
Bill started driving over-the-road in 1954,
the same year he graduated from Barron High School. He was
a police officer from 1959 to 1966. Bill and his wife Lu reside
in Chetek, Wisconsin and have three grown children as well
as four grandchildren.
This summer, Bill was recognized at a luncheon
by the owners of Wiseway Transportation Services. In keeping
with the theme of Wiseway's driver service awards, "We
Think The World Of Our Drivers", Bill received a
framed piece of artwork representing the World. He is shown
in the attached photo with one of Wiseway's owners, Robert
Schmidt.
