WISEWAY SUPPORTS THE HURRICANE RELIEF EFFORT
Wiseway provided a trailer to County Market, a Hudson grocery store, for the Hudson Chamber of Commerce and area businesses to use for their Katrina relief drive. We then provided a tractor and Wiseway driver Royce Emmons (see picture) donated his time and delivered the goods to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank in Baton Rouge, LA. In 19 days, this charitable organization distributed over 59,410 pounds of needed items, per day! In addition, we provided a trailer to Hope For The City in Eden Prairie, MN. Wiseway driver Ron Horman delivered the trailer. When loaded, Ron donated his time and took this load to Multi-County Community Services in Meridian, MS.
We also provided a trailer to Wiseway driver John Kabelis. He and his wife are members of the Stanley-Boyd Leo Club, which held a food drive for the hurricane victims. This trailer will be delivered in the near future. Wiseway driver Steve Alexander has volunteered his time to deliver this truckload of goods. The Rotary Club in New Richmond, WI, along with the St. Croix County United Way, had a full load of donated foodstuff, clothing, water, etc. John Kabelis took a trailer to a dock in New Richmond, where he loaded it and delivered it to Eden Prairie. Wiseway driver Steve Alexander has volunteered his time to deliver this truckload of goods. This is to be delivered to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepard in Biloxi, MS, which is a disaster relief site for Biloxi victims. . John also placed boxes around the office here in Hudson for employees to donate canned goods, etc. for the relief effort. The contributions have been very generous.
Wiseway is very proud of the efforts of their employees to support the victims of the recent hurricanes.
